A spring wedding at Old Gore Barn, captured entirely on Super 8 film

I absolutely loved filming Nigel and Sophie’s wedding at Old Gore Barn.

This was a long-awaited day. They’ve been together for 13 years, and you could really feel that throughout the whole wedding. There was so much emotion, but also loads of fun, energy and a real sense that everyone was there to properly celebrate with them.

I filmed the day entirely on Super 8 and, luckily for everyone, we had possibly the only sunny day in a very rain-filled April!

I loved the nod to the season with white tulips used throughout the day. They looked perfect against the relaxed, rustic setting of Old Gore.

Nigel and Sophie chose a completely vegan menu, all cooked in true Old Gore style on the BBQ. It was delicious.

James Burwell brought the party with his saxophone, and he had people dancing at pretty much every point of the day. It was such a great atmosphere to capture.

I was also really impressed with the Old Gore team. Everything ran like clockwork, and Emily was amazing. Having someone coordinating the day is such a huge help for me and the photographer it means we can just focus on what we’re there to do, capturing everything.

The night ended with a big old party under that amazing huge disco ball.
